Facials and skin care: This three day course covers a vast amount of theoretical information, practical skills and product knowledge. The course will equip students with all of the necessary skills to perform professional facials, including facial massage, diagnose skin types and give expert skin care advice. Day one theory will cover relevant anatomy and physiology; including the skin and skin types, diseases and disorders, bones and muscles of the face, neck and head, as well as contra-indications and contra-actions. The practical will cover how to perform a basic facial and diagnosing skin types. Day two will cover product knowledge, masks and the theory of facials including their benefits and effects. The practical session will cover heat treatments within facials and facial massage. Day three of the course will include a recap of all of the information so far, as well as a small written test followed by a practical assessment. Case studies and course work will need to be completed and submitted before certification can be achieved.    Pre-entry requirements: None
Outcome of course: A professional qualification from the Park School of Beauty Therapy and accredited by the guild of professional therapists in facials both basic and luxury. Allowing candidates to perform facials in a professional capacity as a facial therapist.    Price: £240

Waxing: A three day course covering the theoretical and practical knowledge needed for warm waxing. The first day will cover anatomy and physiology, contra-indications, contra-actions and practical waxing will be on legs and underarms. The second day will cover health and safety, product knowledge and benefits, practical areas of bikini lines, eyebrows, lip and chin. Day three of the course will be predominantly assessment based and an opportunity to hand in case studies which are a requirement of the course. To achieve certification in waxing, students must show practical and theoretical competency.      Pre-entry requirements: None.
Outcome of course: Students will gain a professional qualification in waxing, allowing to practice in a professional capacity as a waxing therapist. The certificate of waxing will be awarded by The Park School of Beauty therapy and accredited by the Guild of Professional therapists.     Price: £180

Manicure: This two day course aims to provide students with skills and knowledge to carry out professional manicures, luxury treatments and give expert nail care advice. Day one will cover the theoretical side of manicures including relevant anatomy and physiology, nail diseases and disorders, product knowledge, benefits and effects of manicures. A practical demonstration will follow and then students will practice on each other and/or on models. Day two will cover the application of hand masks, heat treatments and luxury manicures, as well as a theoretical and practical assessment. Case studies showing light, dark and French polishing will be required to be completed before candidates return for the practical and theoretical assessments.

Outcome of course: A qualification in Manicures, allowing students to practice in a professional capacity. The certificate will be awarded by the Park School of Beauty Therapy and be accredited by the Guild of professional therapists.    Price: £110
